What are ignition amplifiers and are they worth it?

their used to produce a hotter and more effient spark...so if your running a descent amount of air/fuel than yea their worth it

I have seen the stock Honda ignition work fine on turbo cars making well over 600whp. When you get to that level, you might as well go straight to coil on plug.

If you're thinking of Nology Hot wires, they're crap. Its just capacitive flash-over. They dont do anything to increase the amount of voltage or amperage to the plug. Get an ignition box or a hotter coil.
