Default if you had any engine choice....

what would it be. It needs to fit in a 1994 honda civic ex coupe. I need to get motor mount kits, and harnesses, but what engine would be good for it. Also, id like to eventually turbo it...any ideas?

one more thing, what car does this engine come in standard...

It really depends on your budget. If money isn't an issue, get a ITR (B18C5) or GSR (B18C1) motor. If funding is tight, looking into a LS (B18A or B18B) engine. These engines are all out of Integras of differing trim levels.

K20, no doubt man. gas mileage a concern? it was for me when i selected a swap. mid- to low- 20mpg area with SR20DET, low teens with RB25DET. gas is $3/gal. duh, which will i pick as a poor college student? LS will get you great gas mileage and do it on regular, although the fact that the GSR will get similar mileage for only $2 more per fill-up is nice. i get 32mpg with big cams on LS no vtec.
