Default an idling problem.

I have a EK civic with a '95 GS-R (B18c1) USDM and Im having idling problems. When i start my car up wen its cold especially it tends to goin from 2 RPMs-1 1/2 RPMS to 1 RPMs etc. and it really bothers me. These are my other mods that can be important, they are no cat, chip, never been tuned since cars been swapped. i will do this soon tho and I blow black smoke in vtec.

Thanks for the input.

so when it is cold it idles at 2k for a while, then drops down to 1.5k, then to 1k? This is normal, it is the warm up cycle for the engine.

Yes, it is normal. Its called "cold start idle" and every car does it. The black smoke problem sounds like your running very rich in VTEC. where did you get the chip?
