Default Idle

Here is what's happening. When the car is started, it idles from 900 to 1400 and back. It repeats. The only time I can get it to stop, is while I'm holding down the brake, I go into first, let the clutch go just enough so the idle drops to 900 and I leave it there for a few seconds. Go back into neutral and let go of the clutch and the idle stays there. Once I tap on the gas, or drive away, the weird idle happens again. Anyone experience this and have any thoughts? Thanks.

Try adjusted your idle speed first (screw on the TB). If it's getting too much air, the EAVC can't control the idle and that is where the surging comes in. After you adjust the idle, reset your ECU as well.

Sounds like your fast idle valve. Warm your car up take your air cleaner off check to see if there is vacune coming out of the top hole in your throttle body, if there is then its your fast idle. Make sure your car is up to temp first though. Good luck.
