Default Identify this LSD: KAAZ?

I bought this LSD off an HT member, and he thought it was an OEM Honda piece.

It was kinda banged-up, so I have taken it apart to find out that it contains "clutch packs" or friction discs. It has 12 in total. I looked at the KAAZ website and it appears to be a KAAZ LSD.
Can anyone with experience wih KAAZ tell me whether or not it is made by them?
I can't find any markings on it. edit: the large piece that the ring gear attaches to has 96C4 stamped into it.
Thanks.

well now I am not too sure if it is indeed a KAAZ LSD. I am now kind of thnking it is a Cusco LSD.
mrbsponge, you are saying that you know the shape of KAAZ clutch discs and it appears to be a KAAZ?
The shape of the clutch plates is the key to figuring out who made it. The discs with 'tabs' on the outside feature 6 'tabs.' It looks like KAAZ pieces may have more than that, just going off the drawings on their website.
Cusco appears to have 6 tabs on theirs, but the outer rim is not 'flat' like mine, but instead has some wavy-ness to it.
Can anyone help? I need to get an overhaul kit and get this diff rebuilt with new discs and cone springs so I can get my CRX rollin'!
Thanks.

call kaaz and tell them what you bought at the same time email them the picture and see what they say.

what made you want to buy this? aside from it being really cheap, im sure.

we just rebuilt a B16 and H22 KAAZ LSD and that diff does not have the same groove pattern so i would say it is definitely NOT a KAAZ.

I was in contact via email last night with a tech at Cusco in Japan and it is the patented 1-way Cusco LSD.

Has anyone ever rebuilt/overhauled a Cusco LSD and/or knows where to get the parts?
Thanks for the replies.
