IACV issue
Car throws code 14. Starts up and runs fine for 1 second and then shuts off. If i keep it up in rpm it runs fine but its hard to stay up in rpm. Tried to clean the iacv. Checked voltage going to the iacv and all good. Any suggestions?
Sounds like its just went bad, try turning your idle screw out (counter clockwise) if its screwed most of the way in, that might keep it running until you get a replacement IACV. Usually if the screw is screwed in to far and you unhook the IACV it will cut off until you open the idle screw up some to compensate for the lack of air being took in since the IACV may not be functioning correctly. If you do get the idle screw turned out to keep it running, put your finger over the top left hole opening inside the throttle body and see if its sucking strongly, if its not then its deffinetly bad and if it is working it should be sucking strong and your finger covering it should either choke the motor out or make it run like ****.
Since its cutting off and you likely have a bad IACV im thinking the idle screw isnt allowing anough air in to keep it running since its used to the iacv compensating for most of that.
