IACV, IAT, idle problems, MAP experts! - need help
i cant seem to find a solution.
im getting 3 codes:
3 - map
10 - iat
14 - iacv
i figured out today that the mechanic had the plugs backwards for the iacv and iat, so i corrected those, checked continuity to the ecu, made sure the voltage and ground are proper. everything checks out.
i also cleaned out the iacv with brake cleaner, removed the fitv and cleaned it and screwed it in not even 1 full revolution. the iacv clicks also when i jumped it from a9 - a23.
the map sensor i checked continuity, voltage, ground and everything checks out.
however when measuring pin d17 and d21, the manual says to get approximatly 3v, i am getting about 5v. is this the map sensor?
the iat has 0.4ohms of resistance like the manual says so i believe its good.
the tps was set to 0.32 (factory setting).
no one knows what the problem is, and im pretty stumped myself.
after doing what i did today, now the car will hold idle at about 900 instead of 1,000. the idle adjust screw only lowers it more not higher. the car stumbles worse when given slight gas, hard gas makes it rev up normally.
it also sounds like air is trying to come OUT of the intake. the motor automatically revs up and then it makes a slight pop sound out of the intake. what is this?
at about 1,500 rpms the motor sounds like its hitting a rev limiter if your very slight on the accelerator. is this caused by the map sensor?

update:
i replaced the iat, and map sensors, and the codes for those sensors are gone.
i am still getting a code 14 for the iacv, my car still sounds like it hits the limiter at 1,500. the vtec doesnt engage. and the car feels like it is controlling the throttle instead of my gas pedal. so much that it makes the car jerk.

Uh huh....told ya' so
Now for the IACV - unplug it - what does your engine idle at?

yes you did.
thanks for your help.
the iacv when unplugged doesnt make any diffrence.
still at about 1,000
i have a video now.

You're video didn't post...I think they will only host image files. I would check the entire intake manifold for vaccum leaks and the idle air thermo valve as well (which requires removal of it and disassembly).
usually when your idle air controll valve is unplugged and you hit the gas just a little it sounds like it has a governer at 1500 ive had that problem and the second you hit the gas it revs up... check your iacv.
