iacv hole difference?

iacv hole difference?
anyone ever notice that the iacv hole on some of the iacv has like a ring/ridge around it to make it smaller?
the one that came from my b18c has a larger hole than the one that came from my d16y8...otherwise, they are identical.

haha, that confused me for a second but i think you are indicating which hole by saying 'exhaust'
any idea why this is like this and is it application dependent or are some like that on all of the engines w/ no real rhyme or reason?
