Default IACV causing issues

History. b16 in a fiat x19. over heated (235 ish). after I towed it home and started it, my tunerview RD-1 wouldnt show readings. from the ECU. Also noticed the IACV was buzzing. Unplugged the IACV and the RD-1 started showing readings. tried cleaning the IACV with same result. I had another manifold laying around so I plugged that in (didnt bolt it in) readings every time (at least 10 tries) swapped the coolant hoses and bolted it on.
now when I plug it in I dont get a buzz, but I get no readings again. unplugged it and I get readings. I dont get any error codes.

what to check next?

Oh do I wish I could delete this thread. Forever proof I am a moron. Start with basics. The data plug on the ECU that feeds the rd-1wasnt on all the way. Might have vibrated off. Going to try to isolate the ECU better.
