i think my rings maybe gone
Well i noticed recently that when i shift above like 6500 esp when i shift about 8k that as soon as i am inbetween shifts that a puff of blue smoke comes out. it used to be black smoke and it used to backfire (im running really rich) but now im noticing blue smoke..it doesnt smoke when getting on it just when in transition from gears...during the shift. when i let off the gas
i did a compression check just last week, and the number were outstanding...
but im still pretty sure that its my rings, i dont think my rings ever seated right, plus ive heard some bad things about forged pistons. and i burn alittle bit of oil
damnit i hate cars...
u guys think its rings?

I would guess valve seals/ valve guides since you say your getting high compression numbers. Oil leaking past the valves won't affect compression numbers but oil still makes it into the combustin chamber.

well i dont think its in the head. cause when i did valves the seals and guides were replaced.
i think the oil rings are bad and the compression rings are good my .02 cents

Does it smoke in the mornings on startup? If so, its probably the valve seals. A sign of bad valve seals is blue smoke on startup, and blue smoke on decelleration
