My car ran fine without any problems until today. after i advanced my engine timing +2 my car didnt start up the first time. it took a second try to get it going. but after it started it ran fine without a problem, no knocking or pinging of any kind. then i shut it off and it wouldnt start up again. took a couple of tries and it started up again.

I then put the timing back to stock and it still wouldnt start up. so i pressed on all the wires and everything, still didnt start up, just cranks and cranks, sometimes it would kind of start and die again.

I eliminated the problem down to the fuel pump. when i hear it prime fuel into the engine, it starts up. sometimes it doesnt and thats when the engine just cranks. i was wondering if anything else could be a cause to this. anything timing or ignition related? ecu? keep in mind that i have replaced my cap and rotor, spark plugs and wires.
