Default I got a LS, but what to do?? Any help

As of right now I have a complete LS motor for my hatch. More than likly it needs to be rebuild(due to mileage), but I don't know if it is going to be the best thing to suit my wants. I'm looking more into autoX, twisty stuff, not much straight line stuff. So I'm not sure what I should do with it. Sell it for b16, LS/Vtec, or what. Any suggestions? Thanks

you can give it to me

i say keep it, if your doing autox on a hatch ls/vtec has pretty good torque on a light hatch and nice top end, and if you need a little more toque since your rebuilding y not up the sleeves to 81.50mm that should put you at 1.8 1/2 liters.

dude i have a hatch with an ls in it. keep the ls and you will never want to go to a b16. torque is your friend in autocross especially low end torque which the ls has plenty of, just get closer ratio transmission like a b16 or a type r.
tranny i would strongly reccomend a lsd for the b16 tranny or just go with the type r because it already has one

i would keep the LS for the hatch give it the usual bolts on and add a lightweight flywheel and good clutch allong with a GS-R or b16 tranny and it would be pretty damn quick.....

I agree with the above opinions. I have a hatch with a b18 and a b16 tranny. It's not much fun on the interstate cuz at like 80mph you are cranking like 5k rmp but on a back road or from red-light to red-light it's a blast. KEEP THE LS!!

or you can get the best of both worlds
get a b16 tranny and put a ls fifth gear in
super fun in the city and not too much wear and tear on
the highway

there are a few topics made about doing this

Thanks for the help. I think I'm just going to keep the LS with a b16 tranny. What will my top speed be with the LS motor and b16 tranny, since I can oly rev to 7000rpms, still want sorta good gas milage on highway. Thanks again
