Default HYDROLOCKED :(

was driving in this back road around town and it wasn't even raining. i come doing a sharp left andthere it was, the puddle of bent rods.! i have a 00 civic si em1 b16a. and im blown.. literally.

The good news is that im going type r swap asap. anything i need to know?

like about motor mounts? I heard the driver side motor mounts from and em1 to a type r motor is a 2 bolt vs a 3 bolt?

is this true?

will it be a direct swap?

what about running a b16 transmission with a b18c jdm long block. ? is it better or is the lsd in the type r worth it.

Will i be able to pass emissions? i dont have to go in for another 2 years but i run an obd2b ecu right now, is the type r a obd2b also? or do they give u a jdm ecu or soemthing.

will a 00 civic si flywheel fit on a b18c5 ?

Do I have to worry about any wiring issues?

I might have the shop install it they gave me a pretty good price or might do it myself im not sure yet..

Not really the h2b conversion kit is not cheap! And all the work to get it in there? Not worth it IMO.

then go ls vtec use you existing head and tranny and build a ls block with eagle/je pistons and rods for boost... your gonna pay at least 2k for a b18c long block...yo can build an lsvtec for that much and it will be stronger than a stock b18c when boosted...

with a sleeve block you can push your turbo kit ....a stock b18c will only last so long on boost...stock sleeves crack...with a sleeved block and forged internals you can push it hard for years and not break...

tru ****, but i can always do that later down the road, right now i dont have experience in sleevin, valves retainers, pistons, rods, head gasket, all that i dont know i cant do it myself lol, if i knew someone that wouldnt charge me like 3 k to do it i would, plus this itr swap is direct swap, it'll be easy to do

You'll be more than happy with an ITR swap.

well then yea with the itr longblock you should be good...everything should bolt up...the engine bracket needs to be switch from your b16 to the itr to use the oem mounts..and the rear t-bracket also from b16..

Are you going to use a cold air intake with your next setup?

If you are going to keep the cold air intake with the next engine whatever you decide to go with I would suggest you get a by-pass valve.
