how to tell year of block?

i have a b18b and i want to find out what year it is. is there a way?
what do the numbers under b18b mean on the block?

on the head, just above the header is a stamp of the year with a circle around it.

you may have to remove the heat shield to gain access to it.

look at the 10th letter of the VIN # that is riveted on the bottom near the pan-rail(front side of block). if you tell me what letter it is, i can tell you what year the block is
