How many wheels are spinning?
Aright so the engine is shifted to the driver's side (on a LHD car) so that the tranmission can sit between it and the passenger's side wheel. Does just this wheel spin, or is there something that transfers the power under or around the engine block/oil pan to turn the other wheel?
I am a noob, so please bare with me.

You really have no concept of how cars work do you?
The side of the car you drive on doesn't change the position of the motor, hence you can put a motor from a RHD into a LHD, it's the same. And there are two axles coming out of a transmission, one for each wheel.

Actually the differential transfers power to the wheels. The differential is incorporated into the transmission on a front wheel drive car

You really have no concept about how cars work....
I do, just wasn't sure about the setup on a front wheel drive car. Sorry I am inferior, but isn't that one of the purposes of a forum: to be able to learn something from other people
The comment about RHD and LHD having the same engine...
I meant that as a reference saying that the engine was shifted towards the drivers side on a LHD vehicle, dumb ***
Someone that won't jump on my *** for being inferior to them please feel free to give me an answer!!!

Look **** breath (since you want to play the name game), the motor is in the same ******* place on either a left hand drive car, or a right hand drive car, it isn't shifted anywhere to compensate for anything, the sterring rack being opposite is why you can have the steering wheel on the other side of the car. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, and accept that you suck at life. Saying you have no concept wasn't a personal attack, it was an observation. Now if I had said "dude, you're ******* stupid" then you could get all butthurt.

Both front wheels are pulling the car, the difference is, one leads, the other follows. It's really easy to notice this when making a corner and accelerating. From what I read, out of all EK civics, only the EK9 has the even power distribution between the left and the right wheel.
best way to learn is get a factory manual and look at the break down and also jack up a fwd car get under it and look at it, look at the axels and how it connects to the transmision..
I found this pic i hope it helps
