Default how to lower the compression on b18c5...?

hey guys,

good day. ive been surfing the net for a months and hoping to see a topic on how to lower the compression on B18c5 engine but unfortunately, theres a lot of forum that I cannot get in to it "catch what they were sayin"........ co'z im not too familiar with my engine B18C5 , sorry bout that.... anyway, So i was just hoping from all of you guys here inside the forum that i just created if you could send me some reply on how to lower the compression on B18c5 engine, co'z the reason why im asking is that im thinging to TURBO my stock B18c5 type-r engine. PLS. PLS. PLS. HELP.

thanks for the reply man.....

anyway, can you give me specific w/c pistons shall i used to lower it (brand, cost...etc...) and other parts of the engine besides lower pistons. sorry bout that co'z im not too knowlegable in engine specially in my stock b18c5 type-r......

if you wanna lower the compression to boost it than your gonna need to tear the bloc apart and get a set of idunno gsr pistons so that itll lower your compression ratio. but you dont have to go that route if you dont want to.

the other alternative is get a thicker headgasket. it should lower your compression a lil bit but not much. i have seen quite a few itr motors with itr internals running boost and making good power and holding up quiet well. you can boost the itr if you have 93 ot 94 octane and you must get a good tune. and im not talking about a street tune im talking about a dyno tune and a good one at that. as long as ur air fuel ratios are good and your not knocking or running big boost you should be fine. a buddy of mine has a boosted stock itr motor runing alil over 300whp and its been running for about 2 years now with no problems.

so how much would be the cost for everything like change of pistons, thicker head gasket, labour.....ect. ???

so is this the first thing i have to do before i turbo my b18c5 engine....?
