Is there some sort of bonding sealant I need to use when replacing that? It won't even budge to come off... is something special about it?

 

im about to put in both axle seals myself... i belive you just press them in/out with a mallet.

do you have the tranny apart yet?

 

Stick a screwdriver in the edge and pop it out. Then lude up the edges with some seal glide or vasoline. then gently push it in. Take a seal driver on a big socket and litely tap it in with a hammer. Look at the seal before you take it out so you know how deep to put it in. Hope that help. Somebody else might know a easier way but that is how I do it.

sure enough, pops right out lol.

I thought it might have been sealed to it somehow.
