Default HELP! TRANNY OIL SEAL!

Howdy, i have an s21 b16 tranny, and I have an oil seal, but im not entirely sure where it goes, because i have the part number, but not the manual number. part number and description are as follows:

91216-ph8-005
OIL SEAL (28X41X7)

if someone could please tell me which part # this is, that would be greatly helpful, i was searching and i found this, could it possibly be part #16? The inner diamerer looks like it lines up with everything else in the diff, so perhaps i should take out the diff and see?

thanks in advance

Just pull the axle out and pull the old one out and use the same size socket to drive the new one in. Done.

Just pull out the axle and you will see it. You can pull it out (pry it out) and pop a new one in.

WTF, what is pictured above is not an input shaft seal. Its an axle seal. You pop out the axle, there is one pushed in on either sides of the trans, pop it out, push the new one in. Use a big socket and a hammer or something of that nature.

Yeah okay keep on thinking that. Is it me or it looks like there is already something pressed in there. I need an angle pix.

i think thats just the outter bearing on the diff. All he might need to do is stick the axle seal in there...

that's what I said too, but I guess it's not working for him somehow.

right, upon closer inspection i decided that it was not the same as the pictured one above, though it was very similar.

To me it looks like the remains of an axle seal is there. Looks as if all the rubber from the axle seal has been ripped off.

Looks like a little bit of rubber left over right here

Thats what I see anyway

you may want to ask a honda dealer what TMB208C2 is (i think i read that correctly off of your picture) that would answer all your questions.
