i have a 94 ex accord and im goin to buy headers this week...i want to put them in myself...can someone give me a step by step guide and everything i need all tools and accessories so i can get it ahead a time and do this project this week....

 

you've got a v6? just unbolt it from everything its attached to. they're 10mm bolts i believe, if not that they're 12 mm for sure

 

na i got the sohc vtec 4 cyl

 

also get a haynes or chiltons repair manual, believe me, it will help you at some point.

no s dude, you only have 1.
header.

remove the 10? 12mm bolts (dont exactally know how many) on the front of the engine holding the stock header on, remove the 2 spring bolts holding the car to the header, remove the 2 bolts holding the header to the header bracket, UNCLIP the o2 sensor

once the header is free remove the o2 sensor (be VERY careful)

install the o2 sensor into the new header, then install the new header. make sure the exhause manifold gasket is between the header and the head, its a flimsy piece of aluminum but make sure its still there. and when bolting the cat to the header, the spring loaded bolts, make sure the lip on the bolts go THROUGH the car and sits between the header and cat (youll understand when you see it)

Spray some lube on the cat bolts... let them soak. Might even want to hit them with a hammer first to loosen them up.

 

i used 2 wrenches and pulled in opposite directions reeeeealy hard.
when that didnt work i got out my BFH and b.eat on one of the wrenches.
worked like a charm.

One more thing...
Don't touch the business end of the o[sup]2[/sup] sensor. The oil and crud that WILL be on your hands can ruin the sensor.
