how the hell do u get the speedometer ring gear off the differential??????????????
i just completely rebuilt my transmission with a new diff, and suprise suprise, i didnt put on the speedo gear........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i didnt even know the damn thing came off the diff. so, i assume it is threaded on there, is it a reverse thread, or a normal thread??????? also, do i have to take off the bearing to get it off?????? i am so pissed right now

drop it off at a machine shop and tell them to pull it unless you have a bearing puller

do you need to take the bearing off to get the speedo gear off?

you heat it with a blow torch till its near red hot then it comes right off!
dont press it off without heating it, you'll break the teeth....
while its still hot, throw it on your new diff. and when it cools it shrinks and it wont come off.
