Default How hard is it to pull a block or a 88 CRX Si?

Do I need to pull out the entire motor and tranny?

I've done as much as replace the head and headgasket, it should not be that much harder, pull old out, put new one in? Of course with all the hoses clips and so on.

I need to rebuild the block but trying to save money and remove and replace myself.

thanks

It is not really hard to do. I just had a couple friends over and had a cherry picker. Came out in no time. We pulled the engine w/o tranny

My cousin and I ( both 15 at the time ) pulled my D15 out in 6 hours. Coulda done it in 5 if we didnt take a lunch break and the axle nut would of come off... Easy, just label everything.

Jack the car up and drop the engine and trans out the bottom. No need for a picker. And I wouldn't disconnect all the vacuum lines and stuff on the intake. Just unbolt it from the head and tie it up near the cowl.(if you didn't plan on doin that already) Good luck
