So I need to know how to Pull a b16a2 block out using an engine hoist. I already have the head, accessories, Harness and everything removed. Basically all thats left in the bay is the block and tranny. My main concern is if I have to pull the halfshafts out or not to remove the block cause those bastards wont budge. The car is a 99 Civic Si.

 

The halfshafts are connected to the tranny which is connected to the engine. What are you doing? Get a Helm's.

 

I know the Halfshafts are connected to the tranny which is connected to the engine. I was told to drop the block I need to pop the halfshafts out but those bastards wont pop out. My question is if I hoist the engine out do i need to pop out the halfshafts?

 

halfshaft can stay.
Drain Tranny Fluid
Pry the axle that goes into the halfshaft out.Pry the passenger side axle out of the tranny side.
