How do you remove rounded over nuts?
Its on the shock tower in the back, (the one inside the plastic cover in the hatch area)... EDIT-Does a nutbreaker work effectively? I tried it one time on something else and it messed up the bolt

oo, I had the same problem. Tried sooo many things to get it loose, including things people said here.
Socket + jb weld, vice grips, etc
What I got that eventually got it out with ease is this

yeah if the vice grips dont work THIS WILL... try this be4 you buy all those tools and crap
get a dremmel with a thin cutting disk and put a nice deep slot accross the f***** up bolt...then unscrew it like it was a regular screw...with a flathead screwdriver of course

get an impact driver (looks like a screw driver but you hit the end with a BFH and it turns it for you, had to use one on my brake disk screws)
go buy a cheap 12pt socket from kragen or something, make sure its a little smaller than the bolt size, hammer if down on the stripped bolt, then take the bolt off.

Yeah, I tried both those ideas. (I had the same stripped nut that you have).
The hammering on a smaller socket just messed it up more, and the nutsplitter had clearance problems.
What I suggested before will work.
