Hubcap/ Wheelcover problem

Hubcap/ Wheelcover problem
wanna change the wheelcover on my 94 accord lx. Not sure how to remove the stock one. Should I just pull it out by force and them put on the new universial one, or there is some skill to take it off? Thanks for all answering.

don't pull it will shatter you got to remove lug nuts to remove hub caps,,,,,this what you can do without lifting car,, remove 1 lug nut there is a plastic ring at end on nut, remove it ,put lug nut back on do that with all 4 and you can get wheel cover off ...

you could do it that way^^^ but i sugest you just lift the tire your working on becuase if you remove your lugnuts while the tire is underpressure.. accidents are more likely to happen. and also when you tighten each nut once your all done your tire might be tightend unbalenced. always remember to tighten the nuts in a x type pattern... if you decide to lift it break the bolts loose befor lifing it all the way so you wont have trouble when its lifted when you go back to set it down hand crank the bolts as best as you can then lower it slowly till it makes contact with the ground then you can tighten them all the way...

</TD></TR></TABLE>I agree that the car should be jacked up to do this for the reasons you said, plus it's good practice. You don't want to be fumbling around with your jack trying to figure out how to use it if you blow a tire on the road, you will want to change the tire and get out of there.
Plus, it'll be a good opportunity to check the pressure in your spare when you are getting the jack out.
By the way, how much are the universal wheel covers? You can buy the Honda ones for ~ $15...
