Default how to determine what size of intake to get?

just curious how do you determine what size of intake will work good on a N/A car? some people say the bigger the better but others say different.
like 2.5" to 3" is one gonna be better on the low, other better for high.
anyone have a opinion?

3". A 3" stock honda box even flows more than a 2.5" aftermarket.

Get a 3" Cold Air for the best.
