Default Theoretical D-series intake (pipe) size?

Going to be "fabbing" up an intake for my boosted D-series motor.

Was curious if there was a more "proven" size of intake pipe? 3">2.5" perhaps?
Stock intake mani if that helps any....

And turbo inlet size is 2.5", but as you know, a coupler could quickly make it into 3" piping....

Help a boosted brotha out!

whatever your compressor inlet is. you could also go 3" if you wanted to use a different filter than a 2.5" would allow.
