how could i make my car redline higher?
why would you wanna do that. im sure the b16 doesnt make power that high. but if you got cams, you could get a higher redline with valve springs and retainers. or you could get a chip, or a whole new ecu. but its really pointless without cams beucase there is a certain point in your power band where you stop making power adn you dont wwanna go too far past that
I have a b16a engine with the si computer and i was just wondering how i could get it to redline at 8000 instead of 7000
check my sig for different options
get a chipped ecu or vtec controller i think allows you to adjust it... not sure
yea sure, go ahead and raise you rev limit without upgrading anything else. then come back in here and post a question like "What is the ticking sound coming from my engine?"

My very humble opinion...
I feel that raising the redline on a stock engine is a little risky because the stock valve springs were only meant to go so fast before you get some valve float. Even if your car theoretically makes usable power above the stock redline doesn't mean that the stock engine will handle that rpm. Engine balancing, spring rates, and other things become questionable beyond the recomended redline. You're not going too far past the stock limit, so maybe it would be ok, but I'd wait until you hear back from several people who say they have done exactly that with no problems. Good luck.
