hey guys, a friend of mine is planning on getting his ls/vtec tuned soon and we were wondering what would be best...right now he's running an OBD1 mugen programmed chip and the guy doing the dyno said it'd be best to switch back to a stock OBD1 ECU and tune.

also just want to clarify...is the s100 programmable?

 

The mugen chip is designed for a 13:1 comp engine with stupid high lift cams.

Hondata is tuned to your particular application......yes, the S100 is programmable.

 

so would it be best to get a stock ECU? from say a 94-95 GSR to tune on,
cuz he was planning on cams but never got them so he's still running on b16a cams.

 

Yes. I would sell or trade the Chipped ECU for a stock.

 

what do you think the chip is worth? i'm sure my friend knows but he's at work so i'm just curious
