Default hondata question!

Are you able to run higher compression on pump gas with a hondata instead of a reg ecu! Looking to run ctr pistons in an ls/vtec.

Why not? What would you use to tune it Bone?

Im afraid ctr pistns & vtec head might yield more than 11.6:1 (which is the recommended for drivability on street with 93 oct).
The temp increase while youre on the street will suck. Even with 12.0:1 comp & 94 octane, you can get detonation down the road, which means you might need to run less aggressive timing curves. *Datalogging option

nope because of tuning. Hondata just makes it easier...........

Compression/Octane/Fuel/Ignition timing, all part of the formula. Go outside of the formula/tuning and you go from a Otto cycle engine to a Diesel engine.

Old carbed V8 statement..........
Holley for WOT, Carter for part throttle.
