Default hondata gurus...

i ordered a p28 ECU with hondata. well i got my hondata in before the ECU. then i was sent a JDM p30 cuz they didnt have any p28's on hand. thats really not big deal for me (cuz ive heard i can disable knock sensor on p30). well anyways. i have the instructions from hondata site and see where i need to do that souldering and what not. well i open up the p30 and it looks like it has already been chipped. this is how it looks now, i havnt touched it yet.

now the chip that was sent with the hondata (remember, i got the hondata in before the ECU) looks like it will not fit, is this chip maybe for the p28?? here is another shot. the hondata chip and the already?? chipped p30.

those of you who know the hondata know where the chip is going.. or i could draw some circles.. but it looks pretty obvious.

thanx for the help.

Looks to be done for you. You can see the whole procedure here. Page 10 The other chip that you have is for a usdm ecus i believe. The jdm ecus use surface mount style chips.
