Hondata ECU
Hopefully I can get some help here, I'm really getting ticked with it. I just recently bought a P28 ECU with a Hondata S300 unit installed. I went to hook it up in my car and when I go and start it up, it bogs out on me. It sounds like it's about to start but then shuts off. I converted my 91 CRX to OBD1 status, and with the stock ECU that came with the engine, it works fine. Anyone experienced this before, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
You can't just hook it up. You need to have a laptop and know how to use the tuning software. You need to know how to load a baemap onto it at the very least.
You can bring the computer to a tune shop and have them load a base map for your setup..this should cure your problem but I still recommend getting it tuned on a dyno.
