Default Hondata doing crazy things

Anybody have a hondata that makes your car do strange things? I have the hondata tuned with my jun type 3 setup and my idle is still very inconsistent. Sometimes the engine will lope for 30 seconds and stop and it also idles so low the car is barely running. Sometimes the car won't even start. I have a couple friends who have also experienced similar problems with their hondatas. Anybody know whats going on here? Thanks

check or replace plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor. Are you running larger injectors, if you are, for what motor/ecu?

You might want to get a datalogg on it to see what parameters it is running on.

Could be a simple problem. WHen I had my Wolf 3D ECU I had some small problems like yours. Turned out to be a weak ground to the engine block. If the sensors don't get a good ground you can have flakey readings that will cause the ECU to do wierd things every now and then. I bought some 8 gauge audio cable and made another connection from the battery negative to the engine, from the engine to the firewall. CAr ran much smoother after that.

Thanks for your replies. The ecu is tuned but i think i am going to start all over. I agree that changing the plugs and wires etc. is a good idea and i will also check my grounds.

Ditto on the ground. Many, many electrical problems are traced to a missing, undersized, or intermitant ground.
