Default Hondata? Best system?

I was thinking about getting a Hondata system for my car, and was wondering what would be the best system to get for my car, planned mods include a AEM CAI and a Greddy Turbo kit running 7PSI of boost when it becomes avaliable this summer. I would like to be able to program it without having to always go to a dealer. Thanks.

hondata is a great system. It is not the BEST for all out performance... that is where "true" standalone comes in. But for a street driver, on a realistic budget, you cant beat it.

if you wnt to be able to aadjust the fuel and timing maps on your own,
you will need the stage 4B

this may be a stupid question, but i havent done much research on the hondata units... Do they replace the stock ecu, or does it "piggy-back" the stock ecu?

it reuses the stock ecu, making it programmable and adds a processor to translate
boost maps which gives the ecu the ability to actually see boost and compensate
correctly. Also, some other features are added such as vtec control, rev limit
control, etc.

Hondata is not a piggyback, it uses a modified Honda ECU.
