Default Honda MTF - is it worth it?

My Prelude 4G has 84.000km (55.000miles) and had geared perfecly. I think there was still original oil in the transmission. Now I have changed the oil for some 10W40 semi-syntetic and the gearing now seems not as smooth as before the change. Is it because of the oil? Should I buy original Honda manual transmission fluid and change it back?

i recommend the honda stuff. I used motor oil and gear oil b4. They both made my trans grind. Tried the honda stuff and it doesn't grind anymore.

the semi-synthetic stuff is prob too slippery. If you want to go synthetic try redline mtl, otherwise get some honda mtf.

Ive tried redline mtl and honda mtf back to back. I'd have to say they are about the same, maybe redline is just a tad smoother when going into gear but it could be just me. both are good products imo.

OK, so I'm gonna buy 2 liters of Honda MTF. Before draining the old oil from the transmission, should be the transmission hot to working temperature? When I'm changing engine oil, the engine (and the oil) must be hot.
