Default hmmmmm wrong timing?

So i was checking the timing on my car today in class (studying to be automotive tech) and the furthest i can advance/retard the dizzy is to 14btdc and 0 btdc. I did cams and cam gears about 2 months ago, and the cars been running fine. The only complaint i have about it is when i rev it into vtec at a standstill, it makes a chattering sound right when vtec engages. This is on a slow rev to 6k. If i just stomp on it, it doesnt chatter.
My adjustable cam gears are set at 0 exhaust and +1 intake. I plan on putting these both to 0 this weekend and seeing if that helps. I just figured it was a bad base map that was making the chatter... but with trying to time the dizzy- i think im off a tooth.

input?

well the valve cover is off, and the belt is lined up perfect. I took pictures incase anyone wants to double check. Could i have gotten the wrong cam gears or something? Im going back out to set the cam gears back to 0 and 0... then ill come back and check the post for ideas

now im stumped

Put the cam gears back to ZERO. Double checked the alignment of the belt, and its right on the money. I jumped the ecu, and went to time my car- the most it will go is11btdc and 0 (still has room on the dizzy to retard it).

ANY IDEAS?

even with a chipped p28? Im getting it retuned soon (boosting), but the sound does happen @ my vtec crossover, and sounds goofy when im at say... 7k and off the gas (decreasing rpm's).
