yo when ever i start my ej it has a high idle like 2300-2500rpm's so does anyone know y this happens ? Iknow it only does it when it scold because if i run it for like 3 minutes ,shut the motor off and restart it doesnt do this unless i wit several hours for it to get cold again.

 

Idle Air Control valve might be dirty or bad, its on the back of the intake manifold, has two coolant lines hooked to it and a plug.

Theyre a sinch to clean, sometimes the screens in them catch some dirt.
