Default High Idle Problem

I have done numberous searches and nothing has helped. I have a 99 GSR. The car idles real high with the idle screw all the way in, around 1500 sometimes 2000. It does NOT flucuate. I checked the voltage on the TPS and its within spec. I've checked the IACV and its fine.

With the idle screw all the way in, I placed my thumb over the bypass passage on the throttle body and the car dies. Therefore I don't think theres a vacuum leak. Am I wrong?

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Also, I recently discovered that there is a crack on my radiator. I dont know if the crack came before or after the idle problem. Could this also contribute?

low coolant will cause a poor idle speratic or high usaully so yes if your radiator is cracked and its losing coolant this could be your problem so check your coolant hope this helps

if there is any air in the radiator it could also cause this. Have you taken off your throtte body at anytime? Or it maybe time to change your TB gasket. If it isnt the sensors then it has to be a vacuum leak.

I have taken it off the throttle body. I didnt change the gasket but it did drive fine until I drove it hard. Then it started to idle real high.

i think that is your problem there. When you take off the throttle body most of the time the paper gasket will in some way be deformed. Try changing the gasket I'm pretty sure that is the problem. I know from experience.
