Default high idle in 88 dx with ls/vtec

Okay guys, just wondering if you guys have any other ideas on what to try??

My car idles at like 2300rpms all the time, i've tried the adjustment screw, the tps, and nothing works except pulling my intake off and putting my finger almost completely over the little air supply hole in the throttle body! then it idles fine at like 1000. Any ideas???
I'm actually getting so annoyed that i'm thinking about jb welding the hole closed and then just drill a small hole in the weld so that only about 1/4 of the air gets through. what do you guys think?

thanks for any ides <http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif>

You more than likely have a vacum leak. Double check your vacum lines. If you touched the brake booster or master cylinder during your swap make sure the seal between the master cylinder and booster is ok.

What year head is there? Make sure that if you took off throttle body you replaced the right gasket. Check pcv. Check thermovalve under throttle. sometimes the screw backs out the white piece inside.
