Default HELP w/ ac removal

ok, so im taking out the condensor(big radiator looking thing), the a/c motor, the lines. 2 questions:

1) Is the evaporator the thing behind the glove compartment? the big black thing consisting of 2 pieces? Should I remove this?

2) whats that little silver cylinder right under the powersteering fluid resevoir that has aluminum lines running to the condensor? can I take that out too?

1. Yes it is the evaporator- you can remove the whole box but you will have no fans at all (no heat) or you can remove the black box and remove the evaporator coil inside and reinstall the empty black box. Be sure to move your slider to the full heat position before you remove the evaporator housing from the car.
2. This is the receiver/drier- remove it.
