Default help on tires for my car

ok i'm trying to avoid buying rims at all costs.. at least anything desirable by thieves....
i'm trying to find out if i can fit a 205 size tire on a 15 inch rims... but the rims must have hubcaps....you see what i'm getting at...
i know honda civic ex from 2001- on have a 15 inch rim that has a hubcap...

It all depends on how wide the wheel is. The smallest you can fit a 205/50/15 tire is probably on a 15x6, I wouldn't try it if the wheels were any thinner than 6 inches. I think the CRV had 15x6 steelies, but they're 5 lug.
