Default Apex'i Power intake

What do you guys think about the Apex-i power dual funnel intake?
Can whats said in this link be believable?
http://mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/

If so I will just buy it for $69(cheaper than some used prices here) from Froogle.com and make my own universal kit from a 3" toilet flange and silicone coupling as shown in the picture below.

I think that test was on a MK IV Supra, I don't think you'll see a 14 horsepower gain, but you'd definately see something. And I would at least make a decent intake, rather than use the flage and silicone.

I didn't expect those gains on my car but if the test is true then it is a good no maintenance filter that I really need now. I bought the car with a really dirty weapon-r filter and this should really be better.
