What's up people..If you havent followed..My swap is now working!!!

Anyways, my reverse doesnt work! Yes my tranny was taken off during the swap. And when we put it on the shift fork was sticking out, so to fix it, we just kept stepping on the clutch to pop it in, which it did.

But now my reverse doesnt want to go in..Any suggestions on what can cause this?

(the motor was tilted completely sideways to put on the tranny)

Every other gear 1-5th feels fine, and goes in. JUST NOT REVERSE.

It's not the shift linkage because i just got done putting another one on tonight.

you probably bent the shift fork

 

easy fix? And why would all but one gear work from a bent shift fork?

 

 

beats me, if you say everything else is fine, and u can't get it into reverse i bet its the fork, i did it three times, bent the fork three times, its not an easy fix, it will cost alot of money if you bring it to the dealership

I am taking off the tranny right now (well everythings ready to go, so i should just pull it right off)

But anyways, I have a question.

You know that lever that goes into that square cut into the tranny from the clutch line. Is it sopposed to have shaft play?

Like, mine..It has MAJOR shaft play, I can wiggle it about in every direction basically, like its gonna come out, but it doesnt.
