HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok heres the deal i have a 00 teg gsr. I installed a high flow cat and i threw a cel code 67 (cat efficency below threshold). So i bought a o2 simmulator from casper electronics which is garenteed to work. I installed th o2 simm and pulled the fuse to reset the computer and today the cel came back on with same code. I was on the phone w/ casper electronics he said just install it and use a obd2 scan tool to clear the code. I thought that was the same as pulling the fuse. Can somone tell me what to do its really starting to get agravating. Will clearing the code w/ a obd2 scan tool work? If I convert to obd! will that work? Let me know guys. Thanks
try the scan tool and clear it. don't pull the fuse though, not a good idea. and you might not need to convert to obd either. use the obd2 scan tool.
you can convert to obd if you want to but using the scan tool to clear it would be so much faster.also if you were to chip your ecu.... something different might come up.

don't feel bad i had the same problem with o2 sim from caspers elec. i installed the o2 sim after modifing the exhaust drove it for 30min. then the check engine lite can on. checked the codes found two codes one was a o2 sensor circuit malfunction and o2 effenicy code.. called caspers and described problem they said send it back so payed 12.00$ to ship it back and they send me another one same codes came back so i toke it upon my self to check the wire ternimal location in the connector and found that they had 2 wires in the wrong location. called again and told them what i had found and confirmed that the wires were indeed inthe wrong location.. they send another one still wires were inthe worng location and seting codes.. now i have 2 o2 sims and only paid for one so i switch the wires to the correct location and presto no codes no lite.. after driving the vehicle for a few days i noticed it would surge rich then
lean rich then lean when i would cruise at a constant rpm/speed.. caspers told me that it was normal and it would go away after a while till it "learned" its readings.. well 1 month for all this to take place and then have my car surge
.. i just left it out and found another brand sim, works fine
.. sorry for the long reply but just informing u that i have had problems with those sims as well... oh the sim i used i found on a post on here(H-T) i don't remeber the name but u could do a search to find it.....
