HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ok heres the deal i have a 00 teg gsr. I installed a high flow cat and i threw a cel code 67 (cat efficency below threshold). So i bought a o2 simmulator from casper electronics which is garenteed to work. I installed th o2 simm and pulled the fuse to reset the computer and today the cel came back on with same code. I was on the phone w/ casper electronics he said just install it and use a obd2 scan tool to clear the code. I thought that was the same as pulling the fuse. Can somone tell me what to do its really starting to get agravating. Will clearing the code w/ a obd2 scan tool work? If I convert to obd! will that work? Let me know guys. Thanks
looks like no one wants to help you, maybe there is a reason i dunno. pull the bat terminal for a few monutes. or clear the code with a scan tool. maybe you are pulling the wrong fuse. at least with your scan tool you can check if the simulator is actually installed correctly. maybe that has been your problem this whole time.
i just installed the o2 simm last week. Its a no brainer a the little led on it blinks i also disconnected neg battery terminal when I pulled the radio fuse (which is the fuse to reset the ecu). So I dont know ill try the scan tool iguess but i thought it was the same thing as th battery and fuse.
I never used a scan tool, but clearing the code by pulling the fuse and using the scan tool should be the same thing. For instance, even when I went to the dealer because I had a cel (too rich too lean), they cleared the code, but it came back in a day or two.
I think casper is ripping you. And yes, converting to obdI will fix your problem.
