HELP! no spark no fuel.
Hey everybody, Heres how all the problems started....I was racing yesterday, and half way down the track when I hit 7,500 RPM's the car just shut off. Their was no noise, no poping or banging the car just stalled out. After that I couldn't start it.
We checked the for spark and their was no spark, then checked for fuek and their was no fuel(the pump wasn't even turning on, neither the inline or intank) Then we wne ton to swapp distributers, changed ECU, checked all fuses, replaced fuel pump relay. After all that we still didn't have any spark or fuel. So is their something Im missing, Is their a relay for ignition that would control all of this?
heres what I got, B16a2 obd1, turbo(basically a DRAG 3), all in a 92 hatch. I have no aftermarket ignition. Can someone please shed some light on this, I have to have it on the road by tomorrow and my hope is diminishing. Thanks for the help.

sounds like a fuel delivery problem, and because of no fuel the computer sends to spark. might be ur fuel pump itself, u might want to replace your fuel pump and ur fuel filter.
Might be the main relay under the dash. Not sure though. I am certain that 92+ have the main relay, but I think they do. That controls the fuel pump and spark I believe. Check to make sure that there is power going to the distributor and check all the fuses under the hood and under the dash.
HEy guys, im still having the problem. I checked all the fuses and swapped in another relay(The one by the hood poper) and still nothing. I also checked the pumps and the both work. I checked the grounds , but only the main ones, anyidea where there are othes besides the one tranny on e and engine one. Thanks

ok check what voltage the ing swith puts out. and check your fuel filter. if you had a clogged fuel filter it can cause your fuel pump to over work and burn out the motor.
same shiets happend to me...i had a Si head on my DX block with GHETTO RADIO SHACK wires running threw the whole compartment. Racing down the road to the end of 3rd gear and my car just shut off. I was able to start it back up though. When you did your swap, did you have to cut or add any new wires? If so, check those wires for lose connections...the problem could be right under your nose!
good luck
good luck
I'm pretty confident that all the wires I used are good, but you never know I did manage to blow two mounts and if I could do that I could deffinatly manage to break a wire. I'll deffinatly look at all the added wires.
Also, I did cheack both the intank pump and the inline pump. Both are working if I tap to an external power source, but neither is getting a signal from the relay when I turn the key.
Question, If I am not getting any power to the ECU where could i narrow my problem too. Thanks.
