first auto to manual build (HELP)
First off I got a 96 Civic Sedan LX automatic, I also have a mini me swap d16y7 block with y8 head and EX tranny. I got all the parts I need except the engine harness. What I want to know is if I need to change the cabin harness in order for the engine harness to work, if not can I use the cabin harness out of a 99 EX Coupe. I need help just with the harnesses I can put the swap in myself. Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance to everybody!!!!!!

As long as you stay within 96-98, you don't need the cabin harness. If you try to use a 99-00 engine harness, you'll need a 99-00 chassis harness, you'll need to basically strip the interior to swap it all over, add air assist, switch to an OBD2B ECU...see where I'm going with this?
Just get a 96-98 EX 5MT engine harness and go with it.

thanks all that helps, I already got the cabin harness for 99-00 and obd2b ecu, so my next step would be to just get the engine harness correct? I got slave/master cylinder, all pedals, pretty much everything but harness to convert to 5 spd.

No cabin harness, either run the vtec, knock and reverse switch or buy the 96-98 EX engine harness. The cabin harness only needs little modification. There is a guide here, search for it and read it.
