Okay, I have a b16a1 w/ ctr pistons. It ran perfect till one day when i missed gears and over reved it and bent a valve, since then I have gone through numerous reapirs, and still can't figure out why my car still misfires.
this is what I have done:

-I have changed heads
-leak down test checks out, losing 5% acroos through piston rings
-new distributor rotor and cap
-new map
-cat looks okay from inside
-no vacuum leaks
-Timing checks out
-running 45 psi w/ 310 inj
-new pcv sys.
-all inj. click during idle
-new o2 's
-checked the spark plug wires
-new plugs

Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

distributor bearing?

 

what did you check on them..
try replacing them


what about the module (did you replace the whole dist?)
double check timing.. and cam timing and belt

 

Have you been able to narrow it down to one cylinder?

 

no i haven't, how do i go about narrowing it down to one cylinder, all the injectors sound good . it happens when i floor it the misfire occurs, at idle and under load

 

It's easy if it acts up at idle. Pull one plug wire at a time to see if the idle speed is affected any. If you find one that doesn't do anything, concentrate there.
