Help with Ls/Vtec problem before i just forget this

Default Help with Ls/Vtec problem before i just forget this

what would cuz a rev limiter type problem
as i get to 6500 to 7000 rpm's
it does it
and once there it won't go passed that point and throws a gang of smoke

any ideas
would like to fix this before i jump on the dyno
and just find out it is something broken
my installer and some mechinacs are scratching their heads

so i thought i would present this to fellow swap experts....

Any number of things.


Stop using italics, check your tune, head gasket, oil pressure, etc. Make sure the car is warmed up, make sure you have a vtec ecu, double check your wiring.


Some more explanation in detail might help.

slashDEVslashNULL - The post got deleted because I didn't get the pic posted in the first. So I thought I'll try another. I didn't double post purposely. My apologies. How did you go about chipping that JDM P72 as posted with pic for Uberdata?

Please let me know. I'm trying but I get a solid cel. I've been trying for weeks now. Help please.

you sure you put this in the right spot, - sorry I must have misunderstood - I have not chipped a jdm p72.

You linked to the thread and the first post was me talking about a p75 that blake uses, so I assumed .......

I don't recall you asking about a jdm p72, at least not in the thread I am thinking about - sorry if I missed something.
