i've had these engine codes come up on my 1993 civic eg6 b16a2, code 9 (cyp) 8 (tdc) 15 (ignition output) i have just fitted a new distriutor but still have the problems is there anything else i can do?? i also have a code 1 (oxygen sensor) and 43 (fuel supply system) any help would be great as im stuck with wat to do thanks

 

For 9, 8 and 15 you need to check the wiring going to your distributor, sounds like you may have a short. Also check the wiring going to your oxygen sensor as well. What ECU are you using? Take some pics of your distributor and O2 wiring to determine what to do next.

 

not sure on ecu i'm assuming its standard? thanks for the in put and i shall check it all over

 

can't seem to find any loose connections and also would these problems cause the car to run flat and have power loss its like driving a 1.4 non vtec???

 

Reset the ECU by pulling the 7.5A backup fuse in the underhood fuse box for 3 minutes to clear your codes and see which ones come back and we can start from there.

 

i've reset the ecu and code 9 has come back the rest haven't??
