Default Check Engine Code 9

Everybody told me that was a distributor problem. I change it and the check engine came back again. Do we have to make a reset on the ECU with a scanner??? I make a reset (unplug the batterie) when I install my new distributor, but the code came back 2 days after. I got a integra RS 99.

Code 9 is the #1 cylinder position sensor, in the distributor. But maybe the problem was originally caused by flaky wiring back to the ECM? I always like to check the wiring out before I replace parts...

I know that I install a air/fuel gauge in my car a few week ago, maybe it's a trouble a the ECU with the cable that I had there......

Shouldn't be related to that, unless you messed up the CYP sensor wiring when you did it...
